Happy Birthday to Pest’R Us as they celebrate 25 years in business! The Arizona Republic recently interviewed Owner’s, Eric and Melinda Papadeas. Some words of advice were shared and memories of the early days reminisced.
“How I started the business was by word-of-mouth. That had been the best advertisement then, and it is today”. Over the years, large pest-control chains have asked to buy Pest’R Us. And they have refused. “You need to have small and large goals. Know where you want to be tomorrow, next years, or five years from now. A lot of people don’t do that and they end up giving up or falling to the big competitors.”
“You can’t give up too easily. You have to be willing to withstand the pressures that come with being a business owner”.
Pest’R Us is a unique Pest Control company. With special attention to details and people, they leave a lasting impression. For instance, “We put things back where they belong, we pick up things that kids could get a hold of or things dogs could eat that could hurt them. We go above and beyond to let customers know we care”.
Eric Papadeas also know for his humor, had a long standing (and still does from time to time) calling card for his ongoing customers. As he would wrap up the pest control treatments inside the home he would fold the tops of the toilet paper to a neat point. Like a hotel. This was his calling card that Pest’R Us had been there. Eric is also known for his caring attitude. Giving gifts to customers who are having a baby, taking time to listen to his customers and to be a part of their lives.
On May 11th 2018, Pest’R Us celebrated their success and 25 years with a party. Highlights…Greek food, live music, raffles and a lot of fun.
